What Is ESI?

Employee State Insurance (ESI) is a Government of India scheme started for Indian workers that provide the workers with a range of medical, monetary and other benefits from their employer.

What Is PF Registration?

Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is a scheme controlled by the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. It is regulated under the umbrella of Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). PF registration is applicable for all establishment which employs 20 or more persons. PF registration can also be obtained voluntarily by establishments having less than 20 employee.

Required Documents For PF/ESI Registration:

1. Company’s registration certificate and licenses
2. Company’s pan or Aadhar
3. Copy of a canceled cheque of company’s bank account
4. Address proofs and contact information of Directors / Partners
5. Scanned copy of First sale bill / Job work bill and First purchase bill
6. Employee details and necessary proofs

What Is The Process Of Registration?

Form No – 1 (Employers Registration Form) must be downloaded and filled.
After it has been filled, Form No-1 has to be submitted on the ESIC website itself along with the above-mentioned documents.
After the form has been verified, a 17-digit unique number will be issued by the government.
Mandatory Registration

For companies with more than ten employees whose wages are above 15,000, PF/ESI registration is mandatory.
