Documents required:

  • The application form of marriage registration signed by both parties.
  • A valid proof of date of birth for both the individuals is to be presented.

Process of Registration

  • The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) provides a date for marriage registration.

  • Both parties have to be present at the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate.

  • The signatures of the witnesses from either side are also taken.

  • The SDM issues the marriage certificate, and the marriage is legalized.
